The small yet well-equipped wellness center could provide the relaxation guests seek if it wasn’t overcrowded and patrolled by a bully staffer actually yelling at guests. International customers do not seem welcome as few staff speak English. The otherwise delicious food on the breakfast and dinner buffets is not hot. But the hotel is charging a four star price for three star service at best. This property and it’s surrounds are beautiful. Go to the next door for dinner, they are friendly or somewhere else! The hotel's history mentions it was used as a soviet army hospital and they made irreversible changes to the building, yes it happened in the kitchen and in the waiters head. If you want to stay in a nice place in Lillafured, worth the stay, but not the food. At dinner the waiter asked me a second after we set down what we would like to drink, I told him we would like a jar of tap water and a bit of time to think, he told me we should order because he doesn’t want to come back twice! It was a bit awkward! The soup was tasteless, and lukewarm, it just tasted the food from my elementary school with higher price in a fancy dinner hall. Then when we ordered a macchiato they weren’t clear it is an espresso or latte (both on the menu), when we asked about it, they just said for us is the latte. The security and front desk is polite, but the food and service is below average! The waitress in the bar are slow you have to wave them a couple of times to get their attention.
